Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

Not at all. We use the latest technology that vibrates while creating the micro-channels, sending “confusing signals” to the skin so you barely feel it. Most clients describe it as very minimal and surprisingly comfortable.

When will I see results?

This depends on many factors like your skin health, lifestyle, and skincare routine. Generally, most people notice a fresh “glow” within 2-3 weeks, with the most visible results appearing around 6 weeks post-treatment.

How many sessions will I need, and how often?

For best results, we highly recommend a course of 4-6 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart. This allows your skin to build collagen and repair effectively over time.

Can I do it if I’m pregnant?

Yes, as we don’t use numbing cream. However, discourage this as we usually prefer not to treat during pregnancy, as skin can be more unpredictable and sensitive at this time.

What’s the downtime like?

Downtime is incredibly minimal compared to older needling techniques. Most clients with “normal sensitivity” experience only mild redness for a couple of hours - if any at all. In the most “extreme” cases (where clients once would have had 3 days of redness and some swelling), downtime is now reduced to mild to moderate redness that typically fades within 6 hours.

What do I need to avoid before treatment?

For 5 days prior, avoid tanning, sun exposure, vitamin A serums (unless prescribed by us), peels, and any other facial treatments. Avoid anti-wrinkle injectables for 2 weeks prior, and 4 weeks if you’ve had filler.

What’s the aftercare like?

For 2 weeks after treatment, stick only to the homecare prescribed by us. Everyday skincare often contains hidden irritants that can slow healing. Use a gentle cleanser, moisturiser, and an SPF that we’ve approved for you. We find clients who follow this heal much faster.

Can I wear makeup afterwards?

We prefer you avoid makeup for the first 24 hours, but in many cases you can wear it after 4 to 6 hours, depending on your skin’s sensitivity.
